Control System Studio Original Version Startup Error

Hello,

My name is Will Vargo, and I am an end user of the original (not Phoebus) control system studio program. I am writing because I am having issues running the 4.5.9 version of program on an Ubuntu 24.04-1 system. After installing Java 8 and extracting the cs-studio file to my home directory, I can successfully start the cs-studio program. My issue comes from when I attempt to choose a workspace then enter a program. Once I submit the file path for my workspace, the program crashes, and sometimes leaves log files, while other times not. An empty directory called "CSS" is created within the workspace directory, as well. When it has left log files, they are unintelligible to me. Any help resolving this issue would be appreciated.
