I took a look at the manuals for the MDT693A and MDT693B controllers.  All of the commands have changed.  The easiest way to make support that works with the "B" versions of the controllers is to copy the existing device & driver files and update all of the controller commands.

It looks like the "B" controllers should appear as a serial port once the correct USB drivers are installed.  I don't see any info about the serial chipset used, but if it uses a common FTDI chip the support should work on Windows and Linux.

We have some Thorlabs MDT693B (1-axis) and MDT694B (3-axis) motor controllers that I thought I’d be able control with the motorThorLabs module. It turns out that that module only works for the older “A” models (MDT693A and MDT694A) via the MDT695 motion controller card, whereas the newer “B” controllers plug in directly to a computer.
Does anybody know if it’s possible to modify the motorThorLabs module to work with the MDT693B and MDT694B controllers?
