I think the easiest approach is to use the ADEiger OPI screen to show what PVs need to be configured.  Then you can do that with caput and look at the OPI screen to see the effect.  If you post a screen shot of the OPI screen I can see what might not be configured correctly.

• Also: how to fetch the data from the file writer through the ADEiger interface would be handy too… I understand the stream interface but have never used the file writer one

Good morning / afternoon

I have spent some time this morning trying to configure an Eiger “from scratch” using _only_ the ADEiger interface and caput

I have thus far failed!

If someone has an example script I would find that very helpful :-)
