We are doing this quite a lot with https://gitlab.esss.lu.se/beam-diagnostics/bde/modules/xtpico here at PBI and RF, too. There is also a link to hw vendor there.

Dear tech-talk,
Any experience or suggestion of bringing hardware communicating I2C and/or SPI to be accessible on network?
Maybe even some EPICS integration experience on them ?
