I thought each release has its own branch? I was not proposing to turn the
current development branch (i.e. the trunk) into a new 4-digit release but
rather just what's in the 3.14.10 release branch, which is presumably the
same as 3.14.10 with all known bug-fixes (and nothing else) applied. I.e.
such as are listed on the 'know problems' page, plus maybe one or two more
that aren't mentioned there.
Are my assumptions wrong?
