I don't think you've been using/configuring the build system quite correctly, 
which is probably why you've had some difficulties with it.

You should never set BUILD_ARCHS in your applications, it's an internal 
variable computed by the build system from your settings for 
CROSS_COMPILER_TARGET_ARCHS and CROSS_COMPILER_HOST_ARCHS.

I will take a look at the libera build configuration in detail over the next 
week or so and send you some changes to make it do what you need within the 
R3.14.11 (and earlier) rules.  We should be able to resolve this without 
resorting to pistols at dawn...
