It certainly could be.  In this case I think the deprecation warning you
see comes from

namespace epics { namespace pvData {
     typedef ::epics::pvAccess::Destroyable Destroyable EPICS_DEPRECATED;
}}
Replacing epics::pvData::Destroyable
with epics::pvAccess::Destroyable
will also clear the warning.

Your suggestion fixed the problem.
