I'm planning to attend and will present a poster on PVAccess Gateway status and test results.

I think an update of EPICS status, or similar is pretty much expected by the ICALEPCS committee, it would be a surprise if there will be nothing. So yes, I think we should present at least an update paper. Of course other abstracts were also good to have (speaking as a PC member…)

1. Who from the Core Developer group is planning to attend the ICALEPCS 2019 conference in October?

2. Do we as a group want to submit any abstracts for either oral or poster papers?

Abstracts are due by next Tuesday, April 30th, so if we do we need to decide what we're going to talk about before our video conference on that day. We can agree and polish the wording of our abstract(s) during that meeting if necessary, but the substance needs to have been written in advance.

PS: This [northern-hemisphere] fall will mark the 30th anniversary of first EPICS collaboration (before the software actually existed) between the Los Alamos and Argonne National Lab's. My bosses Ned Arnold and John Maclean have both encouraged that there be some kind of a celebration of this at the conference, although I have recently learned that both of them will have moved on from my management chain by October, and it isn't yet clear who will be replacing them. This date would seem a good opportunity to wave the EPICS flag, but the community should not rely on APS/Argonne to initiate or drive those celebrations.
