Thirty years for the collaboration is quite a milestone and worthy of some celebration. Brookhaven is hosting the conference. Any word from them on organizing something with the conference?

I intend to be at the meeting in New York and am also on the program committee this year and am willing to contribute.

My bosses Ned Arnold and John Maclean have both encouraged that there be some kind of a celebration of this at the conference, although I have recently learned that both of them will have moved on from my management chain by October, and it isn't yet clear who will be replacing them. This date would seem a good opportunity to wave the EPICS flag, but the community should not rely on APS/Argonne to initiate or drive those celebrations.
