I do this regularly by downloading over the ethernet using
162bug. The instructions can be found in the man pages for the
162 BSP. Assuming the man pages are in your MANPATH use
"man mv162"
In a nutshell.
1. Have the boot image on a unix host running tftp
2. Use the niop/niot commands to dowload the boot image to ram
3. Use pflash to transfer from ram to flash
