Hi,
here at DESY we are using the standard vxStats device support. (R3.13.x)
In additional we have implemented few queries to get information about:
- IOC's physical name (DNS registered)
- heartbeat
- time on IOC
- boot time
- home or boot path
- what used for
- contact person and phone
- CPU application
- board type
- Epics release
- vxWorks release
- max memory block free
Regards,
Zoltan

There's a link to the "LBL-vxStats" facility in the EPICS soft support
database, which I think is the most comprehensive state of health
support. We use a subset of that here at APS (they based their code
on ours when it was in Base, we've since stolen some of their
changes...).
Here at SNS, we've added a few things to the LBL version - in
particular, a heartbeat, boot times, boot parameters, EPICS & kernel
version numbers.
Pam.
