I am trying to download a base (base-3.15.7) onto my macbook. When I run "make" in the terminal, I get these errors:
2 errors generated.
make[4]: *** [caServer.o] Error 1
make[3]: *** [install.darwin-x86] Error 2
make[2]: *** [build.install] Error 2
make[1]: *** [ca/legacy/pcas.install] Error 2
make: *** [src.install] Error 2
My version is MacOS Catalina.
The actual error messages that we need to see to understand what’s going on are a bit earlier in the output. I just tried building the latest 3.15 code on my Catalina workstation and it didn’t have any problems, so I’m not sure what could be causing your
failures. Do you have enough disk space?
A file permissions problem wouldn’t show up at the stage in the build you’re indicating, so we need to see what the compiler is actually complaining about. I may not have the latest XCode though, so please include the output from running
clang --version as well.

Complexity comes for free, simplicity you have to work for.
