Isn't that the common problem under Linux that only the last started IOC is seen when using directed UDP name resolution messages? [1] Or is that also true for broadcasts in that setup?
Note that in such a setup "external" can be outside the container (still on the same WSL2 instance), outside of the WSL2 instance (from another WSL2 instance on the same Windows host), outside of WSL2 (still on the same Windows host) or outside of the Windows host...
FWIW: Under WSL2, the internal network architecture has changed. The Windows host is now treating connections from the WSL2 network as extern, not as local.
