I'm pleased that you will change the format in the
Double_To_String routine. May I suggest a further
refinement. Make the "sprintf":
sprintf( pstr_value, "%*.*e", prec+7, prec, flt_value );
where "prec" will be the desired precision from the
record. The field width is always 7 more than "prec".
