This MEDM work is really very intersting; at SLAC we're trying to use DM as
the standard display and are working with Los Alamos to get things upgraded.
I use a lot of waveforms and compressed records which are much easier to use
in MEDM though. (One of my current tasks is to define what changes I'd like
to see made to DM waveform support). So I'm not an anti-MEDM person.
It was my understanding that the collaboration was leaning towards using one
display manager, that DM was to be upgraded to include some of the new
things included in MEDM when it was created (as a Motif upgrade of DM). Did
I completely misunderstand? Is the DM/MEDM question a long-festering wound?
Will it (has it) become a religious war?
