Interesting -

I had the same problem when I swapped in an MVME177 for a MVME167 !  It seems
to be a problem at the client end. The first time I had to log out/in of
my Unix workstation before connections could be re-established, the next time
that didn't work, I had to reboot my Unix workstation! It seems that
something (caRepeater ?) does not like the CPU architecture to change from
one boot of an IP number to another. I was going to send a note to Jeff, but
now he's heard it. Jeff, I can reproduce this problem if you want to look at it.
