To Whom it May Concern,
I am attempting to set an alarm condition for an analog
input EPICS record that monitors the status of our LeCroy 1458
mainframes that we use for HV modules here at BNL for the
PHENIX detector used in the RHIC accelerator. What I want to
happen is that an alarm should go off when the mainframe is
powered off (which has happened mysteriously).
When I edit the alarm configuration file to include
the record, I see <UDF,INVALID> displayed in the main alarm
window next to the record. Unfortunately, when I power off
the mainframe, no alarm is activated.
If I look at the record via a 'dbpr' command, I see
that the STAT field has a value of UDF.
Any advice as to how I can implement this alarm?
Thanks in advance.
regards,
Lars Ewell
