I have added two DBF_MENU fields to the stringin and stringout record
types. APST and MPST will control whether CA monitors are fired if the
new VAL field string is identical to the old one. The default (zero) menu
value is "On Change" with behaviour identical to before, set to "Always"
if you want a record to fire monitors every time the record is processed
(analagous to setting ADEL/MDEL=-1 for numeric record types).
These changes will appear in the forthcoming R3.14.2 release.
Marty, please add the above to the release notes.
LANL: If there's anyone there actually working on the record reference
manual, the above information needs to be added to the relevent record
type descriptions.
