Are we the only HP-UX EPICS users on the planet?! I'll look into
our resource, but maybe we don't need newer versions of EPICS on
HP-UX. So... At KEKB, although I keep two HP-UX machines for
some reason and I have installed R3.14.8.2, the versions of HP-UXen
are V10.20 and V11.0 ... They are old and normally run R3.13
clients.
Instead, we may be interested in keeping Tru64 and FreeBSD.
Our main client platforms are Darwin and Tru64. We will re-
introduce Linux machines again, partially to replace HP-UX. Other
facilities like Linac, Photon-Factory and J-PARC are using Linux
as the main EPICS clients.
FYI, R3.14.8.2 on HP-UX V11.0 mostly works for me. Somehow,
startup/EpicsHostArch.pl did not work. Other than that, I
simply modified SHRLIB_SEARCH_FULLPATHDIRS in
CONFIG_SITE.Common.hpux-parisc, and it worked. Thanks to Ralph!!
Regards, Kazuro.
