Unfortunately the C99 definition isfinite() is not available on all our
platforms (e.g. vxWorks 5.x), so for now I prefer to make such changes
only on those platforms that don't currently build. Eventually we
should switch and use the C99 definitions with workarounds for those
platforms that don't conform, but that's potentially a rather big job.
I've added this fix to the Known Problems page.
