Hi, Emmanuel.

I don't have specific knowledge about EDM, but:

* Have you installed the fonts such that they are available to the X11
  server being used to display your EDM application?

* What command(s) are you using to log into the computer remotely and
  set up your X11 environment?  Are you using the ssh that comes with
  OpenSSH, and are you using it with the "-X" option?  Have you tried
  using the "-Y" option instead?
