Hi Eric,

At PSI, we install then into a cfg/ subdirectory for each IOC.

When I was at DELTA, we installed them into a common protocols/ directory.

It a philosophical question, not a technical one. I would say wherever you

install templates (ioc boot directory or global pool) do the same with the

protocol files.

You can even do both, first look locally then in the pool. STREAM_PROTOCOL_PATH

accepts a list of directories (like PATH).
