  We are seeing a couple of issues with caSnooper here at SLAC and I am trying to get to the bottom of these.

1)      Some network issues have been reported when using caSnooper with EPICS R3-14-8-2x. Using  R3-14-10 just for caSnooper in a R3-14-8-2x environment seems to be a workaround.

2)      These seems to be an issue with the -c  (Check validity of top n requests) on Linux. We are working around this using a perl script to digest caSnooper output and then caget for the validity check.

Is version caSnooper2_1_2_1 (10 Aug 2007) the latest? If this is being actively maintained, would there be a later version elsewhere? Are there any patches to caSnooper2_1_2_1 we are missing?
