Dear Bob,
At JLab we developed a publish/subscribe interprocess communication
package that is the foundation for much of our DAQ and related
software. It is called the cMsg package, and we have developed logging
and similar applications with it. Some of our work has been reported at
ICALEPCS, PCaPAC, CHEP and the IEEE RealTime conference.
Our cMsg package and related applications can be used at many levels
depending on how much customization is required. At one extreme you
could use cMsg to build a new messaging package, at the other some of
our logging applications could be modified to suit your needs, and there
are many possibilities in between. And if our needs overlap we might
embark on some sort of joint development.
Feel free to contact me if you would like more information. Carl Timmer
([email protected]) is the other main author of the cMsg package.

Sincerely,
Elliott
