   SLAC Controls Software has been using the CMLOG messaging system as the
core of our message logging system for several years.  We have experienced
intermittent reliability problems and our cmlogServer process uses old
versions of ACE routines and the Berkeley database.  We are considering
modifying our message logging system to no longer use CMLOG and wonder
what message logging systems others are using.

   We would appreciate it if you could send us a brief description of
the control system facility message logging scheme you use.
