Hi Carl,

The textupdate widget does the no_alarm color differently from the textmonitor widget.  The code is different and I think probably developed by different people.  When alarm sensitivity is chosen, for no_alarm, textupdate uses the color that you specify for foreground and textmonitor uses the alarm color from the color rule unless you also choose alarm border.  If you choose the alarm border, a color border appears only when not no_alarm.  I use alarm borders as much as possible since values are sometimes hard to see in the green, yellow, red colors.  My preference is to use textmonitor as much as possible.
