Hi all,

I would like to announce a new mailing list about the
Silicon-TCP (SiTCP) development for accelerator control
and data acquisition.
SiTCP is the implementation of a hardware TCP/IP on FPGA device, and
it can achieve high speed data transfer up to wire-rate, namely,
near 1Gbps in most cases.

During the last EPICS collaboration meeting in Taiwan, we noticed
that many people are suffering from low throughput of soft-core
inside the FPGA. We decided to create a new mailing list to
share information about SiTCP.

For more detail, please visit a preliminary information site:

http://cerldev.kek.jp/SiTCP/

and please subscribe the mailing list [email protected]
(instruction of how to subscribe are written in the web site)

SiTCP has been used in many applications in physics already,
but have not been used for accelerator control and data acquisition.
I hope this ML can help some developments in this field.

Best Regards,
Takashi Obina
