If you only need it to display the name of the selected channel you can
also use a stringout record for each state. These stringout records can
be triggered via a set of mbbi records (each with a calc record in front
of them that picks the right input value range, e.g. 33 to 48). Only one
stringout record fires at a time. All stringout records send their data
to a single stringin which can be used to display the state with a
single record on the OPI.
Unfortunately this approach does not work for output...
