It would probably be worth trying to get control of that epicscomedi project
at SourceForge if someone has the time to do that. I would suggest merging it
with the epics project http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/epics/wiki but that's
up to whoever does the work (thank-you if you do).
I have been reading that some Comedi drivers are being reworked and added to
the Linux Kernel, although I have no idea whether this would affect the EPICS
drivers at all. Of course it'll be quite some time (years) before those make
it to the Red Hat releases (and hence to Scientific Linux) that many EPICS
labs actually use.
