Thanks sorry I should have be more precise in my case it is FLNK and caget and dbgf didn't work....
I have tried both

record (ai,"BUIL-B11-F1:AO")
{
	field(FLNK, "BUIL-B11-F1:CALC1 CP ")
}

record (ai,"BUIL-B11-F1:AO")
{
	field(FLNK, "BUIL-B11-F1:CALC1.PROC CP ")
}

In both cases

[abadiel@sddtest epics]$ caget BUIL-B11-F1:AO.FLNK
BUIL-B11-F1:AO.FLNK            BUIL-B11-F1:CALC1
..................................................................
[abadiel@sddtest epics]$

[abadiel@sddtest epics]$ caget BUIL-B11-F1:AO.FLNK
BUIL-B11-F1:AO.FLNK            BUIL-B11-F1:CALC1.PROC
[abadiel@sddtest epics]$
iocBUIL-B11-PSH0CORE> dbgf BUIL-B11-F1:AO.FLNK
DBR_STRING:          "BUIL-B11-F1:CALC1"
iocBUIL-B11-PSH0CORE>

iocBUIL-B11-PSH0CORE> dbgf BUIL-B11-F1:AO.FLNK
DBR_STRING:          "BUIL-B11-F1:CALC1.PROC"
iocBUIL-B11-PSH0CORE>

is this intended behaviour?
thanks
