Next question:

It looks like libbspExt installs in <rtems_prefix>/target/ssrlApps/<arch>/<bsp>/lib

What do I need to do to make base-3.14.12.5 look there when linking?

Or is there a way to get libbspExt to install in the standard bsp lib directory?

libbspExt is an RTEMS module from SLAC which you need to download and
build separately, see
  http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~strauman/rtems/software.html

This is the last module built in my instructions given at
  http://www.aps.anl.gov/epics/base/RTEMS/Building-4.10.2.txt
