Hi,

In the last ICALEPCS some of us expressed our interest in having a demo 
virtual machine with epics on it for evaluation and testing purposes.

In case someone is interested I just want to share a docker image
that we created for unit-testing the Taurus library with both Tango and 
EPICS:

http://hub.docker.com/r/cpascual/taurus-test/

As it is, it may be of limited use other than for testing Taurus, but 
maybe it serves as a reference or starting point for someone wanting to 
create a more complete epics demo image.

Finally, I must say that, as a complete alien to the EPICS world it took 
me quite a lot of effort learning enough to set up such a minimal and 
simple epics system (the "tutorial-style" docs I found were very lab-
specific and assumed a running system in place). This stresses the 
convenience of a pre-packaged VM or docker image. I documented my own
