Hello,

 

I am trying to set up a version of the Archive Appliance using the “single_machine_install.sh” script. I can get the PVs to log data if I use the “quickstart.sh” demo just fine but using the install script and MySQL it is stuck in the “Initial sampling” state for all PVs. I followed the install and can get to the UI in the browser just like the demo where I enter some PVs. It is connected to the MySQL database, generating tables and  logging the names of PVs.

 

The AA seems to be stuck in the “Initial sampling” state and I’m not sure how to debug it. I have tried to rebuild it but that didn’t work.

 

During setup I was asked if I had a policy file, so I just said used the default.

 

Has anyone seen this error before?

 

Some more info about the setup, I’m using Linux Mint, 17.3,  mysql-connector-java-5.1.39, jdk1.8.0_91, archapp_v0.0.1_SNAPSHOT_13-May-2016T11-23-57

 

In the “sampleStartup.sh” I added paths for the ST/MT and LT storage, this didn’t help. I also changed the  “appliance.xml” file to match the quickstart demo version:

From the log files lots of:

109703 [http-bio-17665-exec-12] ERROR org.epics.archiverappliance.utils.ui.GetUrlContent  - Exception getting contents of internal URL http://localhost:17665/engine/bpl/getVersion

 

java.io.IOException: Invalid status calling http://localhost:17665/engine/bpl/getVersion. Got 404Not Found

 

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot call sendError() after the response has been committed

 

Also, when I searched for the PVs I get:
