Correct.

While displays in general (widgets and their properties) as well as Rules tend to be auto-converted,

scripts are generally not portable, they need to be rewritten.

In the display builder examples, examples/script_util/portable.py shows an example for a script that works in both environments by basically including the code for both environments.
