Hi Jesse,
I was able to test it on our lab IOC remotely. I am testing in input mode 3, where pin 4 is the Inhibit input. I don't have any signal connected to pin 4. When I set InputPolarity=Normal it counts fine in both scaler and MCS mode. When I change InputPolarity=Inverted it does not count in either scaler or MCS mode. This makes be believe that the changes I made are working. Let me know if you find otherwise.
Mark

Mark,
Thanks! That was quick. I won't have a chance to test it until the beam goes down, as we're using the SIS3820 for other experiments right now. I'll let you know how it goes.
All the best.

Hi Jesse,
I just added support to the driver and .template file for a new InputPolarity record for the SIS3820. I have also updated the medm screen, and the .req file for autosave.
I am away from the lab, so I have not tested it yet. But you can get the master branch of mca from Github and see if it works for you.

Subject: Inverting control inputs on SIS3280?
Hi all,
I have an SIS3280 that I want to use the inhibit count signal for (this can be done on input 4 in mode 2, for example). Unfortunately,I want to inhibit on a TTL low signal, while my SIS3820 requires an active high inhibit. The SIS3820 does support inverting the control inputs, by setting bit 19 in the Acquisition Operation Mode. I didn't see it as a record in the documentation (http://cars9.uchicago.edu/software/epics/mcaStruck.html). Is there a way to do this from the EPICS driver? If not, is this something that you would consider adding to the driver?
(I could invert the signal externally, but it would be nice to avoid that complication)
Thanks.
