Dear all,

At this point we will soon have to finalize the planned workshops/trainings and sessions/tracks of the EPICS collaboration meeting at ITER in June.

For the workshop and training days (Monday, Friday) we have so far:
  • Motion Control (workshop, 2h, Monday)
  • EPICS Web Services (workshop, 2h, Monday)
  • EPICS 7 with CS-Studio and AreaDetector (training, 3h, Friday)
If any of the other interest groups (AreaDetector? Timing? Python?) would like to do workshop or training sessions, you are very welcome. Please let us know asap with the expected duration and size, as we will have to organize appropriate rooms.

If there is enough interest in an "EPICS Overview" session (general introduction for newbies), we might be able to run one. Please let us know.

Last not least: for the main event, we currently have the following sessions in our list:
  • Project Status Reports (new and noteworthy)
  • OPI Developments (everything GUI)
  • Services (archive, alarm, log)
  • Core Developments (3.15, 7.0 and beyond)
  • Build and Deployment (support and applications)
  • EPICS 7 Applications (pvAccess in the real world)
  • Experiment Control (beamlines, detectors and such)
  • Miscellaneous (everything else)
If you have ideas for changes or things that do not fit these tracks, please let us know soon, else we will go with the above.

Meanwhile, we have added some travel information and the link to the hotel room booking (working!) to the meeting website at

Cheers,
~Ralph
