Sorry, I forgot to mention that it doesn't work with SCAN=Passive
either. Does the sentence above suggest that I'm responsible for
triggering record processing manually if I'm not getting my simulation
value through a link? If so this would make it more tedious to switch a
record into simulation mode from some external code that interacts with
the IOC through Channel Access (e.g. a Python script).
