Hi Andrew
may I piggyback on this question? I got another documentation related question.
Some time ago I tried to use JSON input links, but failed w/ anything but pva.
DB example is below, based on this doc https://epics.anl.gov/base/R7-0/3-docs/links.html
record(ai, "${SYS}:constFloatPi") {
field(INP, 3.14159265358979)
field(PREC, 9)
field(PINI, "NO")
field(DESC, "ai, holding Pi, PINI=0")
}
# db input link
# not working: error --> dbJLinkInit: Link type 'db' not found
record(ai, "${SYS}:dbInput") {
field(INP, {db:"${SYS}:constFloatPi"})
}
Can you please point out were the current documentation of the JSON link feature can be found? Or comment on the error "Link type 'db' not found" I receive?
best
Niko

Hi Rolf,
HTH,
- Andrew
I am looking for an introductory document which teaches me how to create an IOC database with structured data for PV Access.
Looks like I am too blind to find it.
Thanks – rolf -
