    As I recall you said that it got slower when your network infrastructure was recently upgraded.  That suggests the problem could actually be related to the network.

    Here are 2 things I would try:

    1) Remove the network infrastructure from the setup completely for testing.  Plug the  E5810 LAN/GPIB Gateway directly into a dedicated NIC.

    2) Use tcpdump or wireshark to capture the traffic between the IOC and the Gateway both with the dedicated NIC and with the normal network configuration.
