Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System

Hi Henrique,
I looked through your repository. The db and proto files are well organized. One question for you: suppose I want to use the Lecroy Wavepro Scope to capture injection beam signal. Obviously, I need to use an external timing signal (which
is synchronized with beam injection) to trigger the Scope. Have you tried your StreamDevice driver to test this kind of triggered/synchronized data acquisition?
I guess Andrew’s application is APS-U filling pattern monitoring which requires high-speed (GS/s) digitizers / oscilloscopes. We have similar applications at NSLS-II and we are looking for alternatives to replace the discontinued compactPCI
Acqiris digitizers. The Lecroy WavePro 404HD seems amazing in terms of sampling rate and vertical resolution. If your StreamDevice driver can work with an external trigger, acquire 1,000,000 data points and update at 2Hz, we will definitely buy one WavePro
to give a try.
Thank you for sharing your code and experience!

Hi,
Probably a bit too late on this response, but if it helps, I've been working on the automation of a Lecroy Wavepro 404HD, which should be compatible with the 245HD as well.
The code is in this repository (still not documented at all):

Cheers,

Subject: Supported 'Scopes?
I’ve been given a list of possible ’scopes to select for an APS Upgrade application, does anyone have experience using any of these with EPICS and can provide device support for one (hopefully as a StreamDevice protocol file and database):
-
Keysight DSO204A
-
Keysight DSOS054A
-
Teledyne/LeCroy Wavepro 245HD
Complexity comes for free, simplicity you have to work for.
