Thanks Michael, I had tried the -D option as I saw it when I did softIocPVA
-h. I did not know that it works without the white space, but just
tried and it does. One always learns. I was foreseeing problems for the IOC boot configuration system at TRIUMF as our system is based on each IOC having a boot directory, which contains all the files for the current configuration, including the IOC image and dbd file(s), so that no special tools are necessary for reverting back to a previous configuration. As long as the -D option works in st.cmd (with or without white
