Allow me a more general comment:

For queries to Tech-Talk, I found it more efficient in the past to describe the problem you're trying to solve than asking a specific question about the thing/tool that you just bumped your head into.

By doing that, you motivate colleagues that have developed neat solutions for similar problems to come forward and showcase what they have done. Not only will you probably find in the answers at least one or two ideas worth pursuing - the other colleagues on the list will also receive them, consider the options and may benefit later on.

Asking the specific question, only the specialist will be able to answer, there's a good chance you get a "No way. But why do you want that, anyway?", and the added benefit for the rest of the list is small.
