Dear All, We've been trying to implement Tango Controls on our instrumentation with GUI widgets made in CS-Studio. And even though the Tango servers are set up and working, I've been struggling with making the OPI widgets read and write the attributes of our Tango devices. So, output widgets are shown purple and disconnected, while input boxes are grayed out. I am not sure whether this is simply a matter of bad syntax of the PV Names or a deeper problem. The following error message seems to point towards the latter: ERROR: Failed to write PV:host/device/Attribute Cannot
write to host/device/Attribute, not connected I would say I might have forgotten to set up something, but since I am completely beginner in CS-Studio, I simply don't know where to begin with. And the online documentation on the CS-Studio/Tango applications are really rare and hard to find. My global DEVICE names basically have the form
tango://host/device and global ATTRIBUTE names are exactly as
defined in the Tango servers (considering case sensitivity), so
that my PV names are defined as $(DEVICE)/$(ATTRIBUTE). Some LED
widgets at least appear as 'off', while others appear as
disconnected. Any clue anyone? I appreciate any input here. Kind regards, Thiago
