If you are running the IOC and the archiver appliance, first step that I found is to make sure the archiver is well archiving. Add a few records (start simple like an ai/ao) from your IOC while its running to the archiver webpage and hit
Archive button. It should show the initial sampling happening then if everything is setup correctly it will assign it to an appliance (typically you start with just the one appliance0) and will start to archive the value of that record. You can then check
the quick chart and see the value that it is archiving over time, also you can check the details page and see a bunch of information about the record it is archiving. If it is stuck trying to archive it is probably a setup config issue usually it’s a env
variable not set correctly from what I have encountered.

Subject: Question about retrieve history data in archiver appliance
I intend to retrieve history data of some PV without running the IOC (offline), is it possible to implement that in archiver appliance.
I have tried to do that, but after successfully launching the web page of archiver appliance, when fill in the PV name in the blank and press enter, no chart is available. I also configure CSS to retrieve the hisrory data, although the
data base can be connected by CSS, no available PV name can be selected to draw the history data.
I have no idea how to retrieve the history data of some PV without running the IOC (offline) in archiver appliance and is it possible.
Any help will be appreciated and thank you very much.
