Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
|
Hi all,
I'm looking into using EPICS with Kubernetes, particularly when it comes to managing/deploying soft IOCs. I see this topic was covered at a conference last year and found an introduction here along with some brief project descriptions:
https://epics-containers.github.io/main/index.html
I was wondering if anyone had any experience or feedback they would be able to share (good or bad) if they have tried a Kubernetes deployment involving IOCs since then? Networking issues in particular seem tricky. I've seen the hostNetwork work-around for dealing
with broadcast traffic but perhaps other solutions have been tried as well?
Thank you very much for any input!
