This sounds indeed like what I would have chosen based on your
description. Sounds less complex than having to learn SNL and all the
mechanics behind it while being more "approachable" while
developing/debugging.

Thanks for the pointers. Looks like a simple counter is already there.
I'll see how far I get with this (and certainly be back here when I get
stuck). It would be great if there were more examples/patterns in the git
repo. How would "posting" something work there? Just open an new issue,
come up with a pull request...?
