Dear tech-talkers,
I am trying to install beamline IOCs and other software in a
simulation PC with hardware links removed in EPICS module database.
Hope this will still provide some degree of testing of non-EPICS
scripts.
New to the beamline and its software, I try to keep all software in
original states, including the perl scripts and its use of Pezca.
The new PC is a RHEL virtual machine in VMware, on a host of Apple M2 Mac.
EPICS base version: 3.14.12.
ezca was installed inside epics/extensions/src/ezca directory,
generated extensions/lib/linux-arm/libezca.a (but not sure how it is
used by Pezca).
But I could not find any documentation over the internet about Pezca
installation.
Tried to create a symbolic link of an old "Pezca.pm" file to
"/usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/Pezca.pm", but it does not work. The
error message of running a perl script is:
Can't locate loadable object for module Pezca in @INC (@INC contains:
/usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/local/lib64/perl5/5.32
/usr/local/share/perl5/5.32 /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl
/usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib64/perl5 /usr/share/perl5) at
/pf/epics/lscat/pezca/attenuationServer.pl line 14.
Compilation failed in require at
/pf/epics/lscat/pezca/attenuationServer.pl line 14.
The line 14 of "attenuationServer.pl" is:
use Pezca;
Sharing of Pezca documentation or any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rong
