Hi Alex, According to your explanation, the EPICS community does not have a centralized IOC databank historically. Your special jarson "databank" made me a bit confused, but now I understand due to AlphaFold. I understand your pain to look for existing and available IOCs, which we typically call "IOC" applications. My 1 cent tip is to send an email to tech talk, here!, so the responsible person will reply. I have a bit different view from others regarding ChatGPT, Gemini, or others, since they can give me a deeper insight which I never get from the community personally. Sometimes, I am a bit shy to share my stupidity with the public. In that case, they are good companions for me. Still, I don't trust them 100% either. In some ways, I don't trust anyone including myself 100% as well. My personal thoughts regarding the EPICS IOC Application Databank cannot be realized due to generic limited resources (budget, labor, and so on) among the entire EPICS community. It may be the fact that we cannot overcome that our working life is full of *** management, vendors, devices, equipment, downtime, programming languages, engineers, and scientists including myself.
