Hi Lee,
You probably know this, but you should not need to write any C/C++ code if the device uses Modbus RTU. You just need to create .substitutions files and load drvModbusAsyn drivers in your startup script.
The SyringePump module has some good examples for the high-pressure syringe pumps from Teledyne ISCO and Vindum. This is the directory with the .substitutions files:
https://github.com/epics-modules/SyringePump/tree/main/SPApp/Db
This is the startup script for the ISCO pumps:
https://github.com/epics-modules/SyringePump/blob/main/iocBoot/iocISCO/st.cmd
This is the startup script for the Vindum pumps:
https://github.com/epics-modules/SyringePump/blob/main/iocBoot/iocVindum/st.cmd

Subject: EPICS support for SAES NEG POWER pump controller
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has written EPICS support for this device? It looks like it communicates using Modbus RTU. I wanted to check before we look into writing support.
Thanks
Lee
