I have run your protocol file and databases with a simulated server now for
several days, first locally on the same host, then over the network. I found no
problems. Both settings worked for a week without disconnect.
Also when I finally stopped the simulated server, I got the error message:
VAN SR-DI-VAN:Read: device VAN 0 disconnected
You reported you got no error message.
So, I cannot reproduce your issue. I suspect the problem originates not on the
software side but on the hardware side. Your device seems not to disconnect but
simply stops sending any data.
Unfortunately I cannot think of anything more I can test or do for you apart
from wishing you good luck hunting down the problem.
